CREATING MORE THAN 3000 JOBS IN CENTRAL NOVA. THE FACILITY WILL HELP OUR SEAFOOD PRODUCTS REACH CUSTOMERs ACROSS THE WORLD

Nova Scotia’s seafood exports have been steadily increasing thanks to new trade deals with Europe and Asia. This is helping grow the economy in rural Nova Scotia. In order to support the $2 Billion industry, a new cargo logistics park and cold storage facility will be constructed at the Halifax Airport.

With a Federal investment of $18 Million, a new cargo logistics park and cold storage facility will enable Nova Scotia’s seafood export industry to meet the growing demands from European and Asian markets. This project will put more than 640 people to work during construction, impact fishing communities throughout Central Nova and beyond, and create more than 3000 new jobs after the facility is constructed.
